2009 Sign-Up Information

The 2009 season is closing in fast and here is the sign-up information for 2009. On Saturday July 25th at WIYS Football Office located at 900 South 6Th Street in Council Bluffs, Iowa sign-ups begin with District sign-ups. On July 25th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM , Abraham Lincoln, AHST, and Treynor districts Will sign-up. On July 28th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thomas Jefferson and Tri-Center will sign-up. On July 30th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, St Albert and Riverside will sign-up. Final District signs will be Saturday August 1st from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for Lewis Central And Underwood districts.(Anyone missing there District sign-ups can come on any other District sign-up day.) Western Iowa Youth Sports Inc. (WIYS) provides opportunities for Southwest Iowa youth to play tackle football and cheerleading at no cost. We finance the purchase of our equipment, field and gym rental and other expenses through concessions, private donations, and our main fundraiser - our annual raffle. This ensures that any young person in the area can benefit from the activity, competition and social advantages of being involved in team sports.

Friendship Bowl

Every year our seasons ends with the Friendship Bowl. This final event is held at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, AL Caniglia Field.
